hi

i am disfigured. i can normally breath, eat, see (in one eye) etc. but i feel ugly and unloved. im thinking about a facetransplantation. but the doctor said thats only for people "with problems". Is being ugly as the night not a problem?! children start crying when they see my face!!

:(

Hi
I dont know how your face looks like. and you are 20. Things might change! maybe you start to like your very special face, see it as something positive, it makes you so special and that is a good thing. i know that you might want to be like anyother 20 year old teenager but do you really want to be so superficial, so shallow? They are not special, they are like clones! But you are someone very special.

beside from the fact that you might not find a doctor you would agree in the surgery and you might have to wait years to find a donatator anyway, I still wouldnt do it. maybe in a few years, there are even better surgery options for you that might "restore" your face without placing a strangers face on yours. beside, have you seen pictures of people with translanted faces? They dont look so pretty, so maybe it would only disimprove your looks? and even take away your personality?

Do you have a psychologist or anyone you can talk with about this? You need to learn to love yourself. I can tell you, trying to change your look wouldnt change your whole life. you have to try to change yourself first. Love yourself. You are worth it.

Greetings
