Hi there!
Im looking for information about special diets for people with paraplegia or quatriplegia. Im writing a paper about special diets for PWDs but well, large subject and i need to narrow it down. para and quadri seems reasonable to me. what you think?

There are many different approaches, however, most of them have the same key: As the body can only use a percentage of muscles, it needs less calories. If affected people dont adjust to that, overweight might be the result.

I also recommend you to contact a rehabilitation centre for people with spinal injuries. Maybe you can talk to a nutritional adviser.

Well, it depends on the type of paraplegic. Whether it is partial or complete. A person needs to strike a perfect balance in his diet by eating fruits, protein rich foods as well as drinking lots of water.
