Hi girl and welcome!! icon_cool.gif

Did you talk to your insurence already? I guess you'll probably need a prescription from your GP.
A wheelchair can give you back so much mobility! I can tell. And there was this boy in our selfhelp group who got hemiplagia from a brain bleeding. he could walk but it was hard for him till he got the wheelchair. he's now a great wheelchair tennis player!
your GP can probably mention to the insurance that a wheelchair would be better for your back as your movements now strains your back.

Good luck!!

Oh i see. sorry, i mixed them up! icon_smile.gif

Anyway, does this website help you? : http://cciio.cms.gov/
I dont know how it is in the USA but gernerally it's best to talk to the people on the spot. they know it best.
call them and let them give you the right number, call until you get your answer.

Or go the other way round! go to a wheelchair service directly and ask them if they use your medicaid (probably easier this way).

Or maybe you can just buy yourself a wheelchair (second hand). They arent that expensive actually!

choose a wheelchair and ask the provider wether they use your medicaid or not. if not, ask them if they know any who does, if they dont, ask the next one.
