I have noticed that people who are full of themselves care more about FEELING helpful than BEING helpful...

Just my thoughts

So true, brokenaspie!

I get the feeling that sometimes it's more about "not feeling guilty" than actually helping. eg the more people are around the less help, that's the same in accidents etc. harsh, but true.
i dont get that "unwanted help" too often but i still look young and athletic maybe that's why. and i live in a neighbourhood where are two homes for disabled people (mentally). So, people here just seem to be used to us icon_wink.gif

Yes! It's works good why you are look young and athletic. At the past it was the same to me. But now I don't look young and athletic and the people help mutch more than I need or want. I don't like it! icon_frown.gif

hi i also think that it's different in men and women. men are more likely to seen independent and strong.

i hate it when i say no and people dont stop and then i get angry and then they are all like "disabled people are so mean and frustrated, i just wanted to help, man!! fine, go and *** yourself then!" Charming... Then i feel guilty because i made a bad impression of disableds. but well... if they dont get it, i cant help it.

Greetings

Or I say no, one, three or four times and the people don't stop to help. When I get angry why they are don't stop it, the people to leave in a huff. When I ask them "why your are huff?" they say: "You are helpless and don't like my helpfulness!" This is so stupid!!! banghead.gif banghead.gif
