Hi

I saw on the german page that there is a bootcamp for application process for PWD.
My question: is there a similar thing in other countries, e.g. UK?

Regards,
Ronya

Hi

I know that many disablity organisations have such workshops in the UK. E.g the RNID has any kind of workshops http://www.rnid.org.uk/
If you google a bit, im sure you'll find one that is suitable for you.
I thought you have a job anyway?

Best wishes

Dear Ronya

As we organise this workshop together with Dow Chemicals, an international company, we plan to offer workshops like that one also in other countries.
If we will have on in the UK, we will communicate it on our website of course.

Ask the Apparelyzed or the British Disabled Fencing Association if they have anything like that at the moment.

Best wishes,

Maggie

Richie,
Some people with disabilties are very insecure. I know that mostly hard of hearing and deaf people are no communication pros and they find it difficult to present themselfs, e.g. in a job interview. some deaf peple have also problems with spoken language and/or grammar -> their application letters are full of errors.
in such a bootcamp they can ask for a sign language interpreter or a palantypist that makes it possible for them to understand.
Of course, it should be possible to join a "normal" course, but the reality is that disabitlity is still not accepted by the society and other participants or the teachers would feel annoyed because they would have to take care that the deaf or hard of hearing can fallow the course too.
It is very sad but still the trufh.

Deaf people can do everything except hear.
