Dear users

Today is just a common Monday. Well, only that today, 67 years ago, one of Europe's most important invasion started! Today is the 67th anniversary of the D-Day. (Never heared of it? Google it!)

Apart from that, a Paralympian won a major International Award and Diabetes UK is happy that 6 day from now, the Diabetes Week starts. We’ll keep you informed about that of course.

Well, what else? Have a look at our News section where my colleague Patrick collets disability news from all over the world for you! (I just go to twitter and retweet the highlights for you. I’m obviously lazy icon_wink.gif Follow us on twitter! #MyHandicapInt)

What’s coming up this week? There will be an exhibition by Kidz South - Dedicated to Children on Thursday 9th June 2011 at Rivermead Leisure Complex, Reading RG1 8EQ. A free UK disability exhibition totally dedicated to children with disabilities and special needs, their families and carers, as well as the professionals who work with them. Go to www.kidzupnorth.co.uk for more information.

If you are from the USA, you shouldn’t miss this: The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 to examine the use of leave as a reasonable accommodation. The Commission will hear from panelists on the appropriate use of disability leave as a reasonable accommodation and on complying with relevant regulations. Go to http://www.eeoc.gov/eeoc/newsroom/release/6-3-11.cfm for more information.

As you know, I can’t post every event here, so feel free to add your events!

Have a great week!

Maggie
